God you're such a homer
Way too optimistic
Another mock option with good layout and slightly more realistic results.
First one on this site.
I wouldn't be crying.
Thinking this is pretty close to what we should expect on draft day. DL in the first, edge 2nd, wr/te/g the 3 following rounds.
I would say edge in the first, but I don't see burns or sweat falling to us.
I COULD see Lawrence falling into round 2...but I seriously doubt polite falls to pick 19 in round 2. What other EDGE would you take that you think will be available at pick 19 in round 2?
I dont think Lawrence will make it out of the first...measurables too good.
Man, there's a lot of good ones...Winovich, Ferguson, walker, Joe jackson, Christian miller...however, I'm not so sure I wouldn't wait til the 3rd for one of these guys...just depends on how the draft goes...
I don't think its unreasonable to think polite could fall to us there..
As big and bad as you think this guy is, wheres all the plays he made? Or not make I should say....
I feel dirty for picking OL in the pole. But that is only if a top OC is there. Otherwise, DL or EDGE. This roster is really solid, but Ben Jones is still a glaring issue and he can negatively affect the entire offense. That position must be upgraded IMO.
I agree, he is like most 340+ pound players I've seen- looks unstoppable on some plays, then completely invisible during the others. Tough to have a hot motor when you're that dam n big. And in a pass happy league, you need someone whose motor is always running hot.
But on the flip side, he's 21 and still growing into his body. He could shed some body fat and add more functional mass as well as additional stamina. He's got the potential of a great pocket pusher/run defender. It's worth considering
