What if we picked up Adalius Thomas and turned him into a pure DE

so he can drop yet another man into coverage :hmm:

I think any DC would look better than Schwartz, given all the talents needed in defense. DC is there to mold and convert the inferior to superior talent of players that it has; not just replacing them with better talents from another team to make itself to look like a genius and did something - I can even do that...

 

As a matter of fact the Patriots have been known to drop one of their interior lineman into coverage giving them 9 guys in coverage. They did it before when playing the Colts with success. Messes up the QBs reads seeing all those bodies in coverage and a guy like Manning isn't going to run the ball.

IMO anything that keeps the offense off balance is more than we have seen from our DC.

 

we did some of that when odom played, but he just rushed everytime, so it was essentially the same four man rush we always have.
