    That's simply not true.

    There was a short period of time (only after week 1 against the Raiders) where VY was the NFL's highest rated passer. Then there was a very short period of time where we had the NFL's best scoring offense (for one week following the Eagles victory which had nothing to do with VY).

    We were never even close to being #1 in total offense.

    Matt was a good choice to bring in, simply for the fact he has the right attitude about this situation and knows his role. I can't stand it when veteran QBs won't acknowledge the fact they are there to mentor another young QB, and stick with the "I'm just here to compete and to start games" a la Brett Favre.

    In Matt's press conference yesterday, he clearly recognized the reason he's here, and he's embracing that. He walked the line perfectly: He's here to teach Jake to be the best (also to learn from him), and he plans on doing that by being the best HE can be. I see a harmonious relationship happening.

    Anything can appear harmonious after going thru the VY-Fish debacle though.
