I certainly have texts that I would delete if I were being investigated for something and those texts would have absolutely nothing to do with an investigation. My personal business is my personal business.

The report shows that Zach Smith should have been fired long before he was for things unrelated to domestic violence. Lying about showing up to recruiting meetings should get you canned. Urban used poor judgement in some of those instances.

I do not think Urban or the university had any obligation to do anything more in regards to the domestic violence accusations. It was obvious that no one found the claims to bbe substantiated and that includes law enforcement.

 

No I’m saying personal texts unrelated to an investigation should be no one’s business. I’m saying I would delete texts from my phone before an investigation but it wouldn’t be because I was trying to hide anything related to the investigation.

 

I am sure you don't, most fan bases excuse what happens at their programs. Many PSU fans were pissed Paterno was fired for overlooking child rape for goodness sake.

 

I get what you are saying, but of course that causes problems, because how are you supposed to prove you "only" deleted personal texts? But regardless, he deleted all texts over a year old, so what you are talking about doesn't really apply to this situation.
