Rothlisberger has been mistake free, and relied on the defense to do all the work. Similar to Trent Dilfer in Baltimore.

Statistically his best season last year season but when it came to him actually having to become a threat he couldn't do it.

I based my choices not on stats but on how the team responds to these guys. Example: Vick may put up stats, but I don't see him as being a team leader, or motivating his team to play better for him. Same goes for Eli Manning.

There's not much of a mystery as to who the best QBs are so I'm just gonna list my favorites:

    1: Carson Palmer
    2: Vince Young
    3: Steve Mcnair

    Everyone else is the enemy..

Except that Atlanta has a better team and an easier schedule. If we wanted to make a list of the top 10 most highly rated qb's, we could just google their qb rating and take out everyone that didn't have sufficient playing time.

I don't know about that but he'll be starting over Delhomme in Carolina by the end of the season.

Once you start using "easy schedule" rebuttals, you're reaching. They all play in the NFL they all play with and against NFL talent. No excuses. Vince's numbers are more booty than Vick's.

    My God..

Alex smith is a 2 year QB who went from the depths of pure crap to average. How in the hell does that make him elite? Smith has lost twice as many games as a starter than he has won.

Again waiting for someone who has vince up there to tell me why vick isn't also up there.

Gunny is obviously clueless to compare rothlisberger to dilfer.

    Dilfer's passing rating in 2000 was 76.
    Rothlisberger's 04 and 05 ratings were 98 twice!
In 2000 dilfer had 12 Tds and 11 ints
In 05 rothlisberger had 17tds with 9 ints
In 2000 dilfer averaged 6.65 yards per pass.
In 2005 rothlisberger averaged 8.9 yards per pass.

It's about effectiveness and in those 2 seasons of 04 and 05 rothlisberger was the second most effective QB in the league to manning. His yards per attempt was almost 9 both years which is wayyy above the average of 7.

Night and day! The QB who was most similar to 2000 dilfer last year was streve mcnair.
