    I remember that, team just got to Nashville. I wondered why all these new fans wanted O'Donnell over McNair. Puzzled me.

    Mariota is basically Mac9 reincarnated.

    Steve wasn’t vocal, but had the respect of their team mates and was considered a good leader. (Same as MM)

    Both injured a lot early on in their careers. Steve was constantly playing through something.

    Steve was never really a stat guy, but he knew how to win games. You always felt good with the ball in his hands when the game was on the line (same as MM)

    QB controversy. People didn’t like Steve early on. As mentioned earlier, there were people clamoring for ODonell to be the starter.

    So many similarities.

    Why not? He has not shown he is a franchise QB. If he puts up average stats again, there is no reason to extend him. Draft a rookie and give Tannehill a modest contract extension. Last year proved this team can win with bad QB play. No reason to tie up $20m plus in an average QB.

    When Steve got there he had a similar bonus for leniency like MM too. MM took over for the Mett show/Jake Locker, Mac 9 took over for chandler, tolliver, Richardson, Carlson, and whatever garbage was trotted out after Moon left.
