How did that last draft go when we did that? Not quiet good.

So what pass rusher did you want us to sign?

So much for having some cap space, and we still didn't address our biggest needs. Looks like J-Rob has pulled us through another mediocre free agency session to quench his patriot fetish. Thank god he can draft good at least.

The Titans still have quite a bit of cap space.

    Our team got better today.

Or...alternate scenario, the Pats scouting department was just that much better than ours back when these guys were picked by by NE.

Clearly, and it's why NE is not throwing absurd amount of money at their players that don't deserve it.

We're partially foregoing trying to copy what makes the patriots successful to literally trying to copy the Patriot's success by poaching players. It's not good, nor ever has been a good plan especially because how unique the Patriots are when it comes to utilizing talent.

Like I said, lucky for us J-Rob knows scouting and can partially put us in a Patriot-like situation by grabbing good recruits, but it'll be meaningless if we can't resign them because we've got a ton money locked in Patriot outcasts.

When you factor in guys we have to resign, we really don't have much left to spend, I believe we're sitting at 30-40m left right now. That gets eaten up quick when you aren't paying your LT or QB.

You can throw money anywhere and get feasibly better, but that does not make it efficient. With 30 million on a secondary that still doesn't have a decent SS or really even a top tier secondary player outside of the guy getting paid the least, I wouldn't call that efficient.

All true, but my point was that he is relying on scouting info from his team in the past vs info from our previous scouts. Makes sense. Now that he has revamped our scouting department that should change over time. Rememer, in his first season as GM we drafted based on our legacy scouting, and after the draft, he cleaned house. Seems like he knew that was an issue, it just takes time to fix it.
