Rumor Titans make trade offer for Rob Gronkowski

I'm good with delanie. Too many question marks for Gronk and not worth giving what Patriots might be asking for him

Sign me the F up. Isn't a slight at Delanie either. They'd terrorize the league together.

I'd buy a Gronk jersey tmro.

Offenses nowadays are about creating mismatches and big plays. Gronk would make our offense unstoppable.

 

If he's really available via trade, I wonder what the Pats asking price would be? I think the obvious answer is a 1st round pick + something else. I don't see J-Rob giving up a 1st rounder the year we host the draft, so the question then becomes what of value do we have that the Pats would want? Would they take two 2nd rounders? Would they want a player in addition to that? I could see them asking for Delanie as part of the deal, especially since the draft is already past and we are a little more than a month away from training cap and it would be hard to find a replacement TE that's serviceable. He would give them a stop gap, plug and play TE for at least this year.

Delanie will be 34 before the season starts. We would basically be trading a top 5 TE for the #1 TE and 5 extra years of getting to have him (assuming we can sign Gronk to a new deal).

Just thinking out loud. Thoughts?

 

No way we would trade DW. Maybe Duece Wayne, but not the best player and the face of this team.
