I comprehend exactly what he said. "Im not going to hire a bunch of my buddies" is easy to understand ... Not so easy to do, though. Apparently.

 

He and LaFluer were cabin mates at summer camp too. So this whole thing is just blowing up in our faces. I doubt we win more than 10 or 11 games next season.

Theres also a rumour going around that LaFleur covered for Vrabel once at primary school. Vrabel broke a window and LaFleur took the wrap. So this is Vrabels way of paying him back finally.

 

why is this a big deal? for all you know his son has been hired to be the new mascot. I would hope he is simple here to learn under his dad. could end up paying huge dividends for us when Pees retires... again.

Is Coach Pees unqualified?
Is Matt LaFleur unqualified?
Is Coombs unqualified?

 

Maybe youre just making that line to be more than it is

maybe what Vrabel meant was he wasnt just going to hire his friends for the sake of hiring his friends. Maybe he was looking at everyone's credentials while wrangling up coaches who happen to be his friends..

if you thought he wasnt going to hire people he was familiar with then thats on you

 

1) Yes. His resuem is ok, but he wants to be retired, and is indifferent about the job. He is just trying to fast-track his kid from high school coach to the pros.

2) Yes. He has exactly zero experience. He has never called a play before.

3) He's Vrabel's friend ... that's all the qualification he needs.
