With all due respect to Mularkey, I hope they go in a new direction. Brand new GM, brand new coach. This is our chance to really start anew and we should. No more internal promotions, no more safe familiar hires.

youre kidding yourself if you think we're in the clear from lame coaches coming in. Familiarity is huge in football, the next coach will bring his pals the same way Munchak and Whiz did.

Hopefully for our sake they're fresh minds...

No no no. I meant that we don't need to promote any of our own guys to these jobs. Hire completely from outside.

One thing I think we can assume is getting hired as GM isn't contingent on hiring Mularkey as head coach. They would just go ahead and hire him in that case right?

I read McDaniel has a strong interest in the job. While I've never liked JM this is a good sign that other coaches may want to come for the Barney-guarding job.

If they hired Mularkey as head coach before they hired a GM, I would have to imagine the interest in the GM job would plummet.

Al: Do not repeat back to me what I just said in different ****in’ words! And I wanna know who cut the cheese. I’ll tell you this for openers. We are gonna set off an area on the balcony. And God help whoever doesn’t use it because the next stink I have to smell in this office, and whoever doesn’t admit to it is going out the window, into the muck, onto their ****in’ heads and we’ll see how they like fartin’ from that position. Okay? Oh, I hate to press you on the lot, Mr. Swearengen. Wouldn’t that be a setup. If they were all of the same ****in’ party?

109.6 the jam said that jam up with the ole ball coach Steve Spurrier is he's having reservations of returning to pro game. Weighing option of returning to gators. Decision likely by tomorrow.

Man, I hope you're right. Seems to be a lot of buzz out there that they're leaning Mularkey right now though. Hopefully that's just speculation.

I could be way off in left field here, but I wouldn't mind if we snagged Polian from Jacksonville. I'll give Caldwell credit, he has built that franchise the right way as far as talent and structure. Bradley isn't the best coach, but the GM is solid (that hurts for me to say). Polian would also probably bring his dad over from Atlanta, which as a consultant, I wouldn't mind.
