Titans about to go after Torry Holt.

    ESPN's John Clayton anticipates the Jets and Titans showing interest in Torry Holt once he's released.
    Clayton thinks "two or three more" clubs will join the bidding. The Rams likely would take a seventh-round pick for Holt at this point, so if some team gets serious they could get him for cheap. He might need a new contract, though.



    I think soon as they release Holt, the Titans are going to be after him hard and heavy. They wanted him bad last year and he would go great with Nate and Gage.


    I think unless the jets are willing to over pay him then we will get him.

    If we can get him for a seventh round pick I say lets get him. Hopefully the two sides can agree on terms. I think he will be a good fit here......maybe a two year deal or something.

    It's a matter of risk. We either give up a 7th round pick to have exclusive rights to him, or let him be released and begin a bidding war.

    TH requested his release for that very reason - to ensure he gets top dollar on the market.

    I don't know how high the market would be for him, but if there's any question I think it would be worth it to give up the 7th and renegotiate a contract with him if necessary.

    7th rounder even a 5th or a 6th is a no brainer. every once in a while u get a player of his caliber on a reach there but i mean seriously this is a no brainer and if its true idk why the deal isnt done yet. we need to get this guy, and if we do consider us a super bowl contender, beacuse our o would be sick.
