    Michael Goolaerts - Obituary | Cyclingnews.com

23-year-old Belgian died after cardiac arrest during Paris-Roubaix.

Paris-Roubaix ended on Sunday as it always does, with riders strewn across the grass in the middle of the Roubaix velodrome - elation for some, disappointment for others, exhaustion for all. Peter Sagan won the race, but the sporting contest soon paled into insignificance as it was confirmed that a life had been lost.
Michael Goolaerts, a 23-year-old Belgian riding Paris-Roubaix for the first time in his career with the Veranda's Willems Crelan team, suffered a cardiac arrest early in the race and, after being airlifted to hospital in Lille, was pronounced dead on Sunday night.

Just so you know, Paris_Roubaix is widely accepted to be the HARDEST one day race in the world....over 257 KM, over 54 of which are over the old Roman cobble roads that beat the living hell out of your body and your machine.

    RIP Michael Goolaerts

At least this is more of a sport than bodybuilding or “physique”

Doing my meal prep forces me to follow all these bodybuilding losers

All of em are the worst

“This sports so hard we’re real athletes blahblahblah”

Dude you lift weights. Your sport is the preliminary for all other sports lol

I would argue that cross fit can be a sport. But I agree that bodybuilding is more a fashion show than anything

    RIP

More of a sport than golf... that's a game, it shouldn't be called a sport.
