Shouldn't be doing that, he may revert to his old ways. Hobos always seem to need a bottle of something.

If the Titans draft a QB this year, Collins will be valuable as a backup - lotta teams wish they had that luxury. But his best days are in the rearview mirror for sure.

Why do these KC threads always have a hundred posts talking like the Titans might decide to go with KC as the answer at QB and they shouldn't do so because he isn't a viable starter. Ahhhh no kidding, KC is not the long term answer. When KC came to the Titans he was a stop gap until VY got into the lineup. That was 2006. The ONLY reason here has ever been a QB controversy in TN since then was due to VY playing poorly, getting hurt and having mental breakdowns. VY never won anything as a starter. In the one playoff game he played in he sucked. In the best scenario Collins carries a clip board and never sees the field. Now because of VY the Titans are desperate for a young QB so we go back to square one like we were in 2006.

Now despite the perception Collins isn't much different than he was in 2006 and might even be better now than he was then. When healthy he played pretty well last year. But if he comes back he is only a stop gap until the rookie is ready. Also, despite the perception KC is about as good of an option for that job as anyone out there we could get. There really isn't anyone as a vet who is going to be much of an upgrade who we don't have to give up something for. Now there seems to be some kind of love affair with Hasselback by some but that guy isn't one sliver better than Collins at this stage of his career. I'm fine with getting him but I don't see an upgrade. From what I can tell KC has been a professional , had a good attitude and has done what he was asked to do. If we get a rookie who actually listens and learns KC might be a good mentor. Right now that is real important.

    Agreed.

The thought of him starting this year for us is frightening though. It's bad short term and long term. As for mentoring, I'm all for it.

Pretty good post up til when you say "Hasselback isn't one sliver better than Collins". Hasselbeck is two whole slivers better than Collins. He leads his team, Collins just enjoys the ride for as long as it lasts. Collins can't do anything for us at this point in his career. Hasselbeck would be an upgrade.
