Post-Game Thread Texans 24- Titans 21

Texans were moving up and down the field in the 2nd half today. The defense has not been great starting with the Panthers game. The offense and big plays have made it up for it until today

 

Tale as old as time... when the Defense was on point, Offense was the weakness. The Offense is on point, the Defense is the weakness.

 

The reality is this team will not beat anybody with a descent qb until we can get pressure without blitzing. If you think we are beating brees and the Texans and the Steelers are gonna lose 2 out of 3 then more power to you

 

The outcome wasn't what I wanted but it was a heck of a fun game.
Firksur's flop and Succup's low kick cost us 10 points (easy 7 for the cows), pretty much sums up what cost us the game.

 

beat Cleveland, got hyped, went 1-4.

Every year it's like this

this was a more meaningful game than Colts/Raiders, and they were hyped to oblivion, and they do like they always do in big moments

 

This was not more meaningful than the Colts game.

 

And yet, the Titans still should’ve won this game.

 

Considering the Texans have all but locked up the division now, I would say this game was at least as meaningful. The only way Titans still in the division is if the Texans lose to the bucs and if they beat the Saints.

In addition, Titans have to hold out hope that the Bills win to keep any realistic wildcard hopes alive.

 

Drops were also an issue today.

 

If the Titans lose to the Colts, not only are the Texans not in play, but the Colts are in 2nd place. “As meaningful” is the accurate descriptor here.
