He's really, really one-dimensional. Can't blitz effectively. Can't cover anyone.

I wouldn't be too upset if the team let him walk and drafted his replacement.

Tulloch wasn't the problem with this defense. I think it was more scheming. Your MLB isn't supposed to be covering good TE's. Our OLB's should be the ones playing quick coverage and keying on the TE's.

Tulloch was solid this year. He almost led the league in tackles.

    Again. Titans fans are stupid.

BINGO! He's horrible at coverage, but yet Cecil had him guarding TEs. What do you expect? Tulloch is like 5'9 guarding 6'3+ TEs, its not even fair. Our defense was wack last year.

I love tulloch because he plays with heart, and yea i agree that OLBs should be covering tight ends, if he wants big money he can leave, but id love to have him back and if were going to continue with what were doing scheme wise we'd need to bring in some coverage specialist LB's that arent patrick bailey or tim shaw

Tulloch plays in zone coverage. He's not assigned to cover the TE, per say. Our entire LB group was weak in covering TEs. Without a pass rush, the LBs were exposed as was the secondary.

The Titans need Tulloch. Though he can be upgraded, that won't happen overnight. Tulloch can also play outside if needed.

No way Tulloch breaks the bank but he should be the priority of this free agency group to keep.

I agree. I never though of him playing OLB but I think he'd be great there as well. I think if we would've blitzed more to rush the QB our linebackers would've been able to manage their duties, but there's very few linebackers that can cover pro TE's for too long. I think our defense was a lot better than where it ended up.

Pass on Tulloch. Decent overall LB. About league average. If he'll come for cheap, we should keep him. Other wise, move on a find a better replacement than can actually defend against the pass.

What is everyone's thought on Ronnie Curry

yes. despite his struggles in coverage he is still our best LB and you dont get better by letting go of your best players. there is no clear cut upgrade over him in free agency and we have far to many holes and to few picks to secure a stud in the draft. ILBs are not supposed to be doing a lot of coverage work anyways.
