    Hosting the Super Bowl can generate anywhere from $30 million to $130 million in economic activity for the host city. In case you ever wanted to know what it might take for Nashville to host a Super Bowl some day, here is the NFL's wish list they send out to the cities interested in hosting the event. Tell me this isnt ridiculous.

    • Free access to three “top quality” golf courses during the summer or fall before the Super Bowl
    • Free police escorts for team owners
    • No cost anti-counterfeit enforcement teams focused on tickets and merchandise
    • Licensing fees be waived for as many as 450 courtesy cars and buses
    • Public officials create “clean zones” that cover at least a one-mile radius around the football stadium and a six-block radius from the NFL’s headquarters hotel
    • Host city also was asked to pay all travel and expenses for an optional “familiarization trip” for 180 people
    • 35,000 free parking spaces
    • At least 24,000 hotel rooms within 60 minutes of the stadium
    • Presidential suites at no cost in high-end hotels
    • Free billboards across the city
    • Guarantees to receive all revenue from the game’s ticket sales
    • Guarantees to receive all revenue from NFL-preferred ATMs at the stadium
    • Hotels where the teams stay should be obligated to televise the NFL Network
    • Hosting city is responsible for erecting a sufficient number of portable cellular towers
    • Two top quality bowling venues
    • 20 color pages of free space in newspapers
    • Free promotions on at least six local radio stations
    Still interested in seeing the Super Bowl come to Nissan Stadium?

    Open air super bowl in February? Yeah, that's not going happen. We will need to shell out for another stadium before getting any consideration. All the economic benefits from hosting will be offset by the cost of a new stadium.

    Metlife stadium is a hell of a lot newer and better than ours. Nashville could host it in the next 50 years but not without a new stadium

    metlife is hands down one of the worst stadiums Ive ever been to lol

    seats dont go back far enough, urinals are too small, getting out is a nightmare, god forbid youre a visiting fan taking the train home

    I don't think Nissan stadium has enough amenities (i.e., Luxury suites) to handle the corporate brass that the Super Bowl Attracts. A new stadium would need to be erected, and I'm not interested in footing the bill for it.

    thats cool, most arent interested in their cities raising taxes to float a Super Bowl, but if Tampa has the amenities I cant imagine Nashville not

    I bet it is worse, the Medowlands is nice to look at but its by no means any better than the last Medowlands, i think they literally copied the plans from the 1st stadium but with better jumbo trons
