Run defense sucks..

    We can blame CJ all we want, but this run D is terrible.

    The Lions RBs did what they wanted to do against this run D. We really need to work on stopping the run. It seems like the Lions got 4 yards each time they ran the ball.

    Someone please come pick me up at the Nashville ER. This game gave me a heart attack.

    I'm glad I didn't waste time and money coming to Nashville to watch the game :)

    Seems like bad tackling more than anything they are always able to get that push that gets it from 1 yards to 4-6. Other teams are just bigger and better than us on the line it seems..both sides. :anon:

    Try and reserve your judgement till mid season. I know it looks bad, but we have faced some pass happy teams and that opens up the run, on top of losing the ToP battle, never makes for a good combo.

    I am not saying we are top 10 at stopping the run, but I don't think we are as bad as things indicate at this point in time.

    The defense was on the field a lot at the end of the game, but I agree, Its not going to be pretty next week against foster if that continues. Hopefully Mccarthy will be back next week! Atleast we shut Calvin Johnson down for a half lol.

    Trying to stop the run with six guys for the whole game isn't going to be pretty. We're playing the safeties so deep that they're a non-factor in run support right now.

    I was almost screaming at Winghouse when we played our Safeties at the 20 yard line and the Lions were at midfield. Then the CB's were 10-12 yards off the WR's. WTF WAS THAT?!??!?!

    I understand that, and by no means am I saying that it is not a concern. Just pointing out reasons why it looks as bad as it does. I am not 100% conVINCEd that its all just on the D at this point.

    I have never seen safeties play so d@mn deep in my life.

    We just made Mikel Leshoure look like a All Pro in his first start ever.
