    Who is rookie of the year to this point in the season?


    I think Matt Ryan for what he's meant as QB to the Falcons. I will say I've been overly impressed with Steve Slaton. He's done much better than Kevin Smith, Jonathan Stewart, Felix Jones and Darren McFadden, and he was drafted much later. Plus I like his attitude, telling Kubiak to give him the ball in the second half more, which helped the Texans last night. (I'd love to see Vince act that way, in games where we have a sizable lead.)

    Slaton wont last long. Kevin Smith is better, just with a far worse line. Felix Jones will be better, without a doubt.


    where's that McFadden guy I said would be average?

    I'm not going to go over this again. It's Matt Ryan, and if you vote any differently, you're blind.

    FWIW, there's an OROY and a DROY, so the defensive guys should be in their own separate poll. With Jerod Mayo winning it.

    I'm just loving that the 2 best guys on offense and defense the last 2 rookie classes, I pegged. Not bad for a guy that knows nothing. I hate Vols, but said Mayo should've been drafted higher. Same back when Witten was drafted. Give me air time and I'd put Kiper out of a job in 1 season.

    I just said Steve Slaton will FALL OFF. And I think I have the right be be only 95% correct out of 100s of prospects, even if his little honey-moon season isn't a fluke. Joe Flacco will bust too. Give it time. I remember when you guys were acting like I was wrong about McFadden after he had 1 great game.

    Ive been patting myself on the back a lot lately. Figure I must, since everyone attacks the few times I'm wrong but ignores the times I've made everyone else seem in the dark.
    That's how it works. Public enemy #1!

    Let's not really pretend that you're making "hundreds" of predictions every year. Hundreds of prospects, and you predict a few who will fail, and a few who will do well. That's different than doing everyone.

    Let's also not pretend that you're really "95%" right. Everyone who you're wrong about you say needs more time.

    It's really just silly.

    You almost just pick and choose what statements you make to, I dunno, make yourself feel better or smarter?


    Really, it depends on what kind of statement you are making? Are you evaluating how the player will do in the NFL for one season, or for their career?
