And just because he doesn't play both sides doesn't mean he can't. Brandon Browner and Byron Maxwell are good CBs, so there's no sense in moving guys back and forth. You're best CB plays right corner. Sherman and Revis both line up on the right side the majority of the time.

Revis lined up on the left side against Doug Baldwin in the Super Bowl when he gave up a TD. Good thing he lined up on the other side though, right?

 

Hmm. Well the Pats did it for the go ahead TD against them. If Sherman could play both sides maybe they wouldn't have let him score the game winning td.

Also Revis gave up that TD b/c the ref got in his way. Not because he got beat. I can name 5 or 6 corners I would rather have than Sherman's wannabe thug ass.

 

They would have gone after Therold Simon regardless of where he lined up and who he was covering. If you can't stay within five feet of Julian Edelman you shouldn't be on the field.

Edelman is a good football player. He runs sharp routes and is super quick out of breaks. Sherman struggles against players like him anyways. Shifty WR's is his weakness. He is good against physical WR's but struggles against them.

 

Is it that he cant play the other side or he's not asked to play the other side?

Personally Ive experienced both styles of defense, some coaches dont move their CB's, they want them mastering their sides of the field, which Sherman can do.

Sherman is a guy who's best when asked to learn half the field, thats actually a lot to ask of a DB. He's a stiff CB youre right, but he's rangy too and thats more dangerous than agility.

 

Don't worry... he's gonna name them, and it' s going to be as dumb if not dumber than 520's list of QBs better than Wilson.

His list will be a bunch of fast guys, Sherman is slowerish, but TWW2 made the mistake of thinking speed is the end all be all, not when youre a master zone CB it doesn't..

 

Peterson, Revis, Haden, and Talib over him. Maybe even Grimes, Jennings, Verner over him too for the price.
