Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky The Colts spent the last two days working without pads, first team against first team, addressing many of the issues that have them sitting at 1-2.
Then Tony Dungy sent them on their way for a three-day weekend.
When the team reassembles, it'll be getting ready for a game at Houston.
But two sessions of work with no opponent to focus on were a healthy development, Dungy said.
"We got to take a break from preparing for another team and really just look at some things that we need to do better, get some of our younger guys in, get them involved with the communication on defense and the timing on offense and really just stress the things that are important to us," he said. "It was two very good days. I thought we concentrated well."
The Texans could be good medicine for the Colts when the return. Indy is 11-1 against them all-time and has outscored Houston 372-193.
