its almost as if what Baltimore did to us, we should be doing to other teams.

Wait a sec, when did he EVER throw the ball into tight windows? He had one good season and the others have been poor to midling.

Mariota fans were throwing a parade a couple of weeks ago for a 100 yd passing game. Are you kidding?

All of a sudden? Mariota has been on the wrong end of the TD/INT ratio for over 60 weeks consecutively now.

By all stats and measurements, Mariota has been one of the cleanest protected QBs league wide over the last 3 years, including this year.

I am in no way defending his garbage play yesterday. Yes, a few of those sacks were because he held on to the ball too long. I am a fan of MM8 but am in no way just viewing him through rosy colored lenses; he has his faults, limitations, etc.
But from the arguments of some of the forum folks they are making it seem like he doesn't know how to be a QB. He can play but he needs help from a running game, targets that can catch and a line that protects. Looking at the replay of the sacks, that Raven's pressure was coming very fast so after a few hits I can understand his comfort and confidence was gone.

Stats show that he rarely attempts a pass unless the receiver has separation greater than the NFL average. Much greater in many cases. That's just too easy to defend, any team can simply run man coverage and have QB contain and force him to make an uncomfortable throw, or bail and get sacked.

Look, I'm not arguing with you, let's be clear on that.

But, this guy needs a perfect pocket, all-pro WRs and a very good running game to be successful? Is that what I keep hearing? That doesn't sound like a Franchise QB to me. Packers, Texans, Chiefs, Pats, Colts, Saints all have no running game, but their QB makes their teams better.

I guess it's a good thing the league has gotten so soft and penalizes Defense for touching the QB, to protect soft ass bishes like Mariflota that play QB.
