Raiders fire head coach, Tom Cable

wow lol he turned an awful team into an 8-8 team and gets the boot while fisher has been practically .500 for 17 years and 70% of titans fans think he should stay. We may have the dumbest fanbase in the NFL.

I just texted my friend and told him this. What the heck in Al Davis thinking? Raiders looked pretty good this year.

1 step forward and 3 steps back. Al will never learn.

 

Maybe Davis wants Fisher?

 

I bet it's because the 49ers attempted to set an interview with Hue Jackson (who supposedly has been undermining Cable by the owner)

This comes with the territory of coaching the Raiders. It's a miracle he lasted this long.

 

Raiders were just a player or 2 from being a really good team.....now well....they are just an owner I guess.

 

Now this is a guy I'd give a 2nd chance to, not Singletery. Just when it looked like the Raiders were headed in the right direction Al Davis continues to hold them back. Maybe he wanted a team comprised of top 10 picks and didn't like that Cable got them to an 8-8 record? Besides, if Janikowski makes 1 of 2 easy kicks against Arizona they actually go 9-7.

But who would have figured the team we crushed in week 1 would have a better season than us?

Just idiotic...hard to believe what Davis was able to do in the 60s-70s when looking at moves like this. I guess age does have an effect on judgement (which is not encouraging to us middle aged folks).
