He did in the 4Q, didn't watch his play much though. Was in a fight with a poncho.

To be fair, we were 7th in the NFL against the pass. Also, Jmac nor Cox played. I bet JR's scouts are looking at preseason games for good corners on teams that are loaded at CB. We definitely look better than we did a year ago.

Don't get me wrong, I know it's pre season and our starters didn't play, but if someone goes down we are in trouble. Also, if we aren't getting pressure, it doesn't matter how good your corners are, they will eventually break down. We give up too many big plays against average QB's. That said, I do think we look better in many areas. I'm just gonna let Jrob do his thing and get behind my squad as always. We were pretty competitive with a SB caliber team today. That feels damn good.

I except for McCourty to actually stop being hurt. That would be a good starting point.

Until then, his average play will be replaced with piss poor play from the awful corners on this team.

As for Cox, he also missed 3 games last year and after the bye week, he was more of a liability than he was an asset.

This team has to have one of the worst secondaries in the entire league. That includes when McCourty is healthy. Only difference with McCourty is on that Ginn TD, he probably wraps him up after playing 15 yards off the ball instead of that sad excuse for attempt at a tackle Blake did.

Also after seeing Searcy's play today, I definitely now understand why Stafford has been getting playing time with the 1's in practice.

Rashad Johnson was blessed to have two pro-bowl corners and that front 7 in AZ last year. There's a reason the cardinals didn't bring him back. Two games in and a bunch of training camp reports later, Byard seems like he has earned the Sharpe treatment and should be playing with the starters right now.

Missin' that terror Sensabaugh. Already Payin' dividends for the Rams.

With that said, Parrish Cox and McCourty should help when they get back.

So I just watched the game and O.M.G....get Antwon Blake the **** out of here! The dude was like 1-6 in tackles. The defense overall, for the 2nd week in a row, looks awful. The offense is still showing promise, but our exotic smashmouth idea won't mean **** when we are down by 2, or 3 TD's. Management needs to have a serious talk about our CB's.

Anyone remember what the defense looked like last preseason? I don't recall much enthusiasm about that unit then... here's hoping it's merely trying things out.
