He doesn't need the no huddle to thrive in the NFL but it does need to be an integral part of our offensive approach for him to reach his full potential. The biggest thing is giving him more options in passing downs and to stop with these condensed formations and isolated routes that doesn't scheme anyone open. Mariota would absolutely thrive in a system that's built around the west coast style offense. Thats pretty obvious.

 

It's pretty sad when the players know what they need to be doing to perform better but this clueless coaching staff can't see it.

If your going to pay a slow moving pound it out offensive scheme at the minimal you need a solid, consistent running game and a top 5 defense. We have neither at the moment.
