    Strengths
Curran is the definition of a tough, gritty, competitive linebacker. He was highly-productive during his time at Georgia. He plays with great instincts when diagnosing against the run. Despite smaller stature, has been an extremely durable player. Is a solid tackler who can make plays in the open field.

    Weaknesses
Curran really lacks size for the linebacker position. Also lacks great range and speed when attacking outside running plays. Can take inconsistent angles and occasionally takes false steps. Struggles at times in man-to-man coverage and when asked to drop deep into zone coverage.

I'm very glad the pick was an LB (a clear position of need) and not some blocking TE or something like that.

Curran is way undersized for sure. Wikipedia lists him at 5'11 and 222, which is TINY for a LB. Other places have him a bit heavier, at 238.

Sounds like he is tough as nails and a tackle machine. London Fletcher 2.0?

    Here's an article about him.

He can tackle if he can get his hands on you, but TE's like Clark or Witten will make him look like a turd.

Glad we could land a great LB. He was the SEC's leading tackler last year! The only LB I would have liked better would have been Dakoda Watson from Florida State but Curran will work just fine.

    2010 NFL Draft Grades:

    16. Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech
Amazing. The Titans get the top-rated defensive end at No. 16. We can see why the Titans are always in position to make the playoffs. (Pick Grade: A)

    77. Damian Williams, WR, USC
There is absolutely no reason Damian Williams should have went this late. He's a great route-runner and projects as a pefect complement for Kenny Britt. (Pick Grade: A)

    97. Rennie Curran, OLB, Georgia
A great fit for this defense, Rennie Curran will challenge Gerald McRath to replace Keith Bulluck. He fits the range and fills the team's No. 3 need heading into the 2010 NFL Draft (DE, CB, OLB). (Pick Grade: A)

First time I've ever seen someone like our picks.

I like them now. I wonder if I'll feel the same way this time next year.
