Pick #41 of the 2018 NFL Draft: OLB Harold Landry, Boston College

I had a bad feeling when he took the stage

All I wanted for him was to not fumble the name, and he did exactly what I thought he might. I'd love to see that card he read from, someone set him up.

 

Would you guys rather have picked Lorenzo Carter/Ronnie Harrison instead of just Landry?

 

Absolutely not.

 

Will Hernandez and Josh Jackson had first round grades too. Not everyone with a first round grade is selected in the first. Teams reach for players all the time to draft need over BPA, like the Seahawks with Rashaad Penny. Pretty much every mock I saw and every big board I saw had Landry as a top 30 talent.

He fell b/c of health concerns, same as Maurice Hurst who also had a 1st round grade.

gotta disagree with you on this one. with 5(yeesh) QBs going in the 1st round alot of good talent fell. people like LVH & Denzel Ward, Penny, and Edmunds (the safety)were reached for, people like Derwin, Ridley, Landry and Guice fell.

 

I have read that there is some investigation into something concerning Guice, and that he may be looking at some trouble. That’s supposedly why he fell.

 

Upon looking into it further, all I can find is some weird crap about him being asked if he is gay. Strange situation.

May be a blessing in disguise t that this guy had a down year due to I jury. Would have been an early 1st rounder if he was fully healthy his senior year.
