Teams stack the box on us more than anyone because they know MM can't throw. Or... want him to throw due to the interceptions he'll throw.

Go watch any tape from any Leach offense and you'll see the exact same thing. As a matter of fact, just look up Leach QBs from TTU and WSU during his tenure. Amazing how they are all Tom Brady's, oh wait.

Leach and the Air Raid make ANY QB look great. It's the system dude.

 

so he's bigger than Mary? His great size, arm strength and college numbers should've made him the 2nd overall pick then.

 

then NFL should adopt that system, cause we have 10-15 good QB's in a league of 32 teams..

 

Why is someone knocked for their system? Most system QBs suck because most QBs suck in general. Scouts aren't just looking at production, they watch for translatable characteristics. If you automatically resort to the "system QB" critique, and really don't know how to put anything that he's actually doing into context, then you are just wasting everyone's time by providing your opinion.

Well to a degree it's a fair assessment.

If Luke Faulk wasn't a product of a Leach Air Raid offense and put up the numbers he did in say a "NFL" style offense... he would likely be a 1st rounder

When you read Darnolds scouting report, a lot of the scouts mention he came from a "NFL" style offense.
