NFL Prepares For 8 Game Season

OMG, 8 games, really? That's fantastic! We only win 8 games most the time. So we'll be undefeated? Let's see what Fisher is doing, he's good for 8 wins.

1-7 record top five pick. I can see it.

What a waste of time. Locker will lose a year. Morgan will lose another year.

They need to get this worked out.

 

This can't happen, if it does, everyone get your pitchforks and torches out, and meet me at Goodell's house.

 

In 1982 they only had 9 games due to a strike. And just 5 years later in 87 they had the same problem but then the owners used replacement players. Don't think it can't happen.

The redskins won the super bowl in 82 and i doubt if their fans care that it was a shortened season.

 

And Goodell is responsible how for this problem?

Duh Goodell is not a negotiating party. The players and owners are. If they can't agree on a deal there is no season. He can't make anybody do anything.

So what if he is trying to salvage at least an 8 game season? It was called a CONTINGENCY plan.

Goodell is not advocating an 8 game season he is simply planning for the possibility that a full 16 game season might not happen.

Hence the meaning of the word CONTINGENCY.
