Williamson lost snaps last year to another day 3 guy(Jayon) and will want from 8-9 mil per year as a Free Agent. I've been on the move on from Williamson train for years now.

That's a ridiculous price tag for someone who can be replaced by virtually anyone.

Williamson was a great pick and has played well for us but you're right. There'd be games that Brown would play more snaps than Williamson. That's not a good sign for a guy who wants to be paid as one of the better inside linebackers in the league. Woodyard is very good against the run, and Jayon should only get better. I expect us to let Williamson walk, sign a capable vet, and draft someone rounds 2-4 to compete for the spot. If Roquan, Tremaine Edmunds, or maybe even Rashaan Evans falls they'd be a solid 1st round pick. But we need pass rush help and there are some really good options in the 1st round.

I really like Tremaine Edmunds as our first round pick. He has the coverage skills to play inside and the size/athletiscm to play on the edge. He would be a great cornerstone for Vrabel to build his multiple front D around since Edmunds can just about play any posistion.

If he falls out of the top 15 then I think JRob should seriously consider trading up for him.

Anyone watch the kid from Vandy (Oren Burks) much? Is he worth a 2-3 round pick?

More importantly, can he cover a TE?

I would kill for Roquan Smith or Tremaine Edmunds but no way they make it to 25.

Leighton Vander Esch or Rashaan Evans are the other 2 traditional LBs who may be worth considering at 25. I'm not a big Malik Jefferson unless it's late round 2.

Then this draft is littered with smaller hybrid LBs.. something we already have in Jayon Brown. There's Fred Warner, Dorian O'Daniel, Jerome Baker, Skai Moore, Tegray Scales, Darius Leonard etc.

Jake Cichy or Shaun Dion-Hamilton would be good late round considerations.
