doubt we pull the trigger with Woodyard still able to ball, but if we did I wouldnt be mad..

 

Day 3 guy: Josey Jewell.

Feels like a Vrabel guy, too.

 

Malik Jefferson would be a nice addition too, plays ILB and can get after the passer a bit too

2018 NFL Draft Profile: JOSEY JEWELL

 

Other than having a female pop singers name I like Josey Jewell in the middle of the draft for us.

Good in underneath zone coverage, good tackler, only issue he could have in NFL is man coverage when routes get longer than 10-yards. Solid pass rush skills, not elite but brings enough pressure he could be used to get after the QB.

Probably enough there to replace Williamson seamlessly.

 

if Williamson can be replaced by a day 3 guy "seamlessly", then there's no question we should move on from him. I'm not all into evaluating guys outside of the top tier guys and guys from tn, so I'll take your word for it.

Yea he was, but he's also been in the league a few years now and is playing decent. I agree we need an upgrade at his position, but a day 3 rook is very unlikely to come in and outplay him day one. We could hit on a day 3 guy and he could beat him out mid season, but it would be far from a seamless transition, most likely
