Mariota's Ceiling Heading Into the Season

That's a valid point. When Mularkey thought his job was on the line during the Chiefs playoff game, he threw the game plan out and allowed Mariota to call plays from the huddle.

That worked out well, it was arguably one of the best showings by the Titans since Mariota was drafted.

Mariota has the ability to be a franchise QB if he can just put it all together. Whether he will or not remains to be seen.

 

That was actually proven to be untrue. We apparently only ran plays from the no huddle a few times

QBs typically make the play calls in no huddle/2 minute situations. They did not give Mariota the liberty of calling the plays in the huddle for an entire half. Even if that would have been a better alternative to Robiskie calling the plays, they are too proud to do that.

 

Mariota will play better this year because of AJ Brown.

Mariota looked awesome when he could check down to Rishard Matthews.

We got rid of Matthews prematurely. I'm guessing it was due to his stance on the flag. Matthews was a baller and we had no reason at all getting rid of him the way we did.
