His analysis of Mariota's pro day aside, Rob Rang is an asshat.

 

Now I agree that they may draft him just to buy themselves more time.....I could see that happening.

The problem is that it sets us back another 3-4 years unless Mariota shines here. I am nowhere near convinced that this happens. If we were drafting in the 20s and he was still there I would take a chance. At #2 I just don't think drafting him is our best option.

That said, your argument about Whis and Webster is likely correct....they may draft him, but for all of the wrong reasons IMO.

 

That's the only way they draft him, is to save their jobs for 2-3 more years. Then they set us back even more when they still fail cause there's no talent around that fits what mariota is capable of doing

 

Gilbride casserly and Jeremiah all had less than good thhigs to say about today.

 

This is what I've been saying for a while now.

I fully expect us to go QB at #2 no matter what. Mariota scares me a lot, but I'd understand the rationale behind the pick. It's what most desperate teams would do.

The average Titans fan is going to love the Mariota pick, so there's that.

The homer in me would be excited, but the realist in me still says bust.

 

Wasn't able to watch... looks like his pro-day was average.

#2 is coming down to Mariota or Leonard Williams. We want that true impact franchise player, not to trade down.
