Love MM8, but....

Frankly, Mariota is probably worth more than what we could get for him in a trade.

 

Whatever you think our ceiling is; shave a game off. It's just the Titans way to drop winnable games

 

I really think the severity’s of his injury limits these options too. If Mariota did t get hurt and just played marginally, his value might still be worth a draft pick for next year but I see the injury he has, will scare off other teams from even wanting him in a glass half full type scenario that maybe Tennessee just isn’t using him right. No team wants a giant health question mark.

 

I know we all have our opinions on this board, as Titan fans, but the real strikes are coming from non-bias national media. I have yet to see a positive review of Mariota after season end. Every ranking of qbs, or writeups on qbs, or conversations of qbs have basically given negatives for Marcus.
He has completed 4 years of football, he is who he is. If anyone expects a gigantic uptick in his playing are setting themselves up for disappointment. He is a really good backup, or a bottom of the league starter.

 

Did you feel that way about McNair after year 4?

 

Unlike some people on here, I didn't think McNair was a great qb. He was good enough with the team we had. Marcus is about to make over 20mil next season and basically screw the rest of the team if we continue to pay such ridiculous amounts for an average (or well below average considering where he is ranked in current qbs) qb.

I am ready to move on from MM. If u put him on the chargers, saints, rams, bears etc. And give us any of those qbs on our team we would be so much better and they probably wouldnt be in the playoffs.

 

Yeah, but he is still better than Winston.
