    Armstrong settles federal lawsuit for $5 million; will pay $1.65 million to cover Landis legal costs
    Facing a $100-million fraud lawsuit brought about by the Federal government, Lance Armstrong has reached a settlement that will see him pay $5 million, according to reports in multiple media outlets.


    The settlement "is neither an admission of liability by Armstrong nor a concession by the United States or Relator [Landis - ed.] that their respective claims are not well founded."
