I beg to differ with this article big time! Haynesworth has performed very well and up to his contract.

You have to look into actual football numbers before jumping to conclusions. He is stuck with the washington titans circa 2007. With an offense that cant move the ball and keeps the defense on the field all day long thus badly skewing their defensive statistics.

After all those former titans players that have won pro bowl selections, big contracts with other teams etc, one should at least by now see how valuable Fat AL actually is.

He some how managed to turn a bottom 3 safety in Griffin into a pro bowler, earned a couple of defensive ends big contracts with other teams (and they have since tanked of course) managed to help hide the worst CB in the league (Harper) for a whole year from defensive coordinators and pass happy QBs like manning.


Hate him or love him, Haynesworth was worth every dime of that 48 million dollar contract ..(please call it what it is not that mythical 100 million dollar number he will never see)..


No matter how you look at it, the REdskins, have not given up 59 points on his watch.

 

true, but the skins are not trotting out a proven loser at QB, which is too say Campbell might be a loser but he CLOULD improve, I mean it's probably possible anyways.

And the 59 points was just a fraction of what it could have been that game

 

I hate to rag on Vince Young, but he was playing as bad as Jason Campbell has played this whole year back in 2007.

Campbell is not a bad Qb at all. Its just team management that has screwed this team over royally and as such guaranteed that Campbell cant suceed. (Its a long a s s story about how the GM and Snyder have completely messed up that team, but short of it is, Jim Zorn walked into his interview and was told to run a west coast offense with a team built to run first and he actually said yes to this...lol.. Now he is out there wondering why other coaches laugh (ie Gibbs) when asked about taking the Redskins coaching job.


You think Campbell has it bad? Wait until next year when he gets his 9th offensive coordinator in 9 years..(god help that kid if he doesnt drive off a cliff)

 

Haynesworth has been getting pushed around all season. And when he's not getting zero penetration to clog the running lanes, he can be seen limping off to the sidelines, or hanging out with a jacket over his pads.

We all knew he wasn't worth it. The Redskins do it once again...

Why do people keep trying to convince others on this board Fat Al's contract isn't really 100m, but half?

If it was that unguaranteed, he would have taken the Tampa Bay deal. All he has to do is stay on the damn roster and the contract is 80+. And that's just assuming 20 is incentive based.

If it is 10m or more probably designed to force renegotiations, less and he probably gets it, unless skins are unhappy with his production and want to get rid of him
