he is referring to the Oregon offense which is you cant argue that nobody has ran it better than Mariota.

 

Pray, I agree with you. I’m a Mariota fan for sure. Kid has heart and plays smart too. I think he had some bad throws this year, and definitely confidence issues. Likely due to the crap offense scheme and bad o line play. I was arguing that everyone loves mobile QB’s etc, but smart, sound, accurate QB play in general wins out. I too can’t wait to see Mariota with some breathing room and spread formations. I hope he stays healthy too

Are the athletes at Oregon really that much better than the opposition? Looking at their commit lists over the years, they are a far cry from schools like Alabama. I didn't see any class over the past few years which was top 10. Some weren't even top 20.

 

No they weren't. It was a situation where the scheme elevated the players including Mariota to a degree.

 

Oregon had good athletes but more importantly they had better all around coaching. They weren’t all around superior to the rest of the PAC 12. The only school that can claim that and has always been able to claim that is SC. The rest of the schools pretty much even.

 

Lol since when is Alabama their competition? Oregon when chip was there thrived off being faster. I said athletes not football players. And what happened when they went to play a big school? They got stomped lol

 

Not true. Oregon wasn’t based off football players they basdd off speed, and few teams in the pac 12 could keep up with their speed

 

For what they had in speed they lacked in size. Which is why they were wasted by a couple of PAC 12 schools in a couple of Kelly’s years.

They weren’t anymore talented than your Arizona Rodiguez’s teams.

 

But...they wanted them small and fast. Not great football players just fast
