Rumor Josh McDaniels Wants the Titans HC Job

Definitely a fair point.

That said, there are a few things I like about McDaniels.

1. He's been involved, in some capacity, with that Patriot offense for many years.
2. He's a young, ambitious guy who no doubt still wanted to prove himself as a HC.
3. He's had the Denver experience already. Sure the failure there could be viewed as a bad thing (and it is, at least to an extent). But I'm sure he learned plenty from that experience, and I gotta think he'll be better in his next go-around. Particularly with a legit franchise QB. And I know it's a big time cliche, but even Belichick failed his first crack at it.

 

Most head coaches fail in this league. Too small of a sample size to say all Belichick disciplines would fail.

pagano was the only one I was rooting to get, and he's off the market. So whoever is fine. Would prefer not keeping Mularkey though.

 

This is the exact reason I don't want Chip Kelly right now. He just failed. Why the hell would we want to give him another chance immediately after failure? He needs time to sit back and evaluate what went wrong and how to avoid it.
