Jones Drew not getting his deal

Of course he's not getting his deal, he's got high mileage and has 2 years left.

 

Its a smart move for the Jags, but boy would it suck to be them.


Okay seriously, we need them to go ahead and go to LA. We don't even have one guy that comes by to talk trash. Its pointless having them in the division. Give them to a state that actually WANTS a team.

 

Hell demand a trade or be released and some team will overpay for him. Book it.

I honestly wish that we had taken this stance with Johnson. Running backs are no longer that important in the NFL. You don't need a game changer just a solid dependable guy.

 

Well thats true if you have a good QB, but at the time we didn't know what we had at QB, we had only about 47 questionmarks on this team.

 

I don't know that they will be all that much worse with Jennings carrying the ball. That's probably a 3-win team even with Jones-Drew, so it would make no sense for them to give him any more money.

 

Really not the same situation as CJ and the Titans were in at all. MJD already got a huge contract from the Jags once. He's older and although he's been very good, he has never played quite at the level that CJ has. MJD is already getting paid a lot of money for a RB. What exactly does he think he deserves? His legs are falling apart for Oprah's sake!! Anybody who was putting CJ down for holding out should be absolutely trashing Jones Drew right now!!!! He's already paid VERY well. WTF?
