Every where I look Hubbard has fallen off big time. The two Clemson ends are staying so that might shoot him back up some, but I think that's a bit of a reach still, and I think there is safer picks at 25.

My dream pick would be Viti Vea, especially since Farrel is out but he's going to be shooting up and probably out of our reach. It would be perfect pick though, because I think the other positions can be addressed later in the draft like Hubbard, or Burks, or Elliot.

I also wouldn't mind us going for Denzel Ward. We can cut Ryan next year and save a lot of money and probably upgrade the position too.

 

How can majority off this board complain about our coaches running a 1970s style offense but give a pass to a 1970s style safety?

Passing league now. Why do we need a run stopping safety?

Even then, for as many tackles as dude probably had, he whiffed or took bad angles on just as much.

He's fine if he's used as a run stopping safety. Not if he's playing in space. I don't even think he's that bad in man coverage with a reasonable matchup. But he cannot defend an area greater than a few yards, or it will be a disaster.

 

For a run stuffing Safety he sure as hell can tackle in space.

 

If you can't cover them, give them a concussion...I guess.
