McCourty stays. Revis leaves, because he is a whore.

When in the past 10 years have the Pats let a player the caliber of Revis or McCourty (and who is as important to the overall functioning of their defense) walk away? Asante Samuel doesn't exactly fit the bill.

Pretty sure the only player they have kept for an extended period of time on that D is Wilfork.

wow looking at their cap space.. they are destined to let one or the other go. I would bet they let Revis go before McCourty though. Safeties are cheaper and they need the extra cap room to sign others.

the cap limit is only estimated to hit about 142mil next season and they are sitting on 155mil without McCourty right now.. something's gotta give.

Won't be that hard for them to get under. Wilfork goes, which is huge cap savings. He's close to washed up. Mayo goes, which is another huge savings. He isn't needed with Hightower and Collins stepping up.

A few other small moves and suddenly it's easy to keep McCourty and Revis. It's what good teams do and it's what the Patriots will almost certainly do.

McCourty to Tennessee is a complete pipe dream, IMO.

Only real shot we have at getting the other McCourty is if he also wishes to play with his brother again. Hopefully he's emotional and Jason really sales us to him.

Well they are brothers so I would hope he would find his brothers word more reliable.

Still, Devin knows in the back of his mind it would be a stupid decision leaving not to far from his hometown and coming to this dumpster fire.

Foxburro to Jersey aint so close, its almost the same ride/flight back and forth from NJ to Nashville, that wouldn't be why he stays away from the Titans.

Foxboro to New Jersey is 271 miles and both pretty much east coast.

New Jersey to Nashville is 847 miles.

I still think the only way he comes here, is if he even does hit the market. The Titans make him the highest paid Safety.

Yes distance wise its a bit further but realistically anywhere more than 4 hours youre probably flying there instead. 4 hour drive from Mass to Jersey or a quick 1.5 hr plane ride from Newark to Nashville, really not that much difference time spent traveling

then again maybe he's already flying back and forth which would be a breeze, but either way I doubt logistics factors in to his decision. He either wants to be paid, win, or play along side his twin again.... 2 of those things we can offer
