Considering Brown has asked to be traded, I'd be down for getting him. Then there are no excuses for Mariota and if he doesn't excel, you have a fantastic WR group for whoever they draft in 2020.

Crowder is like Taywan without the drops, so sure

Unless we’re replacing Taylor, crowder doesn’t enhance the offense. He would make an expensive PR but an upgrade from what we have.

I've always liked Crowder and he'd be a great addition. But his situation will be interesting, he was injured most of last year, so statistically he didn't really help his value.

I could see him signing a short term deal maybe 1-2 years back with the skins to up his value for a long term deal. Now if a team offered him 5 years 60 million 30 guaranteed, he would probably take it, but do we want to pay that much for a slot receiver?

Taywan's problem is he doesn't know how to catch. This is the only picture i found and its not as bad as other attempts I've seen on film, but instead of attacking the ball with his hands (both palms facing qb/ball) he lets it come into his hands on the reverse side like a cradle. Not only does it make it harder to catch the ball it also gives a better opportunity for defenders to make a play on the ball.

His catch rate is better than Amari Cooper's during his first two years. Young players drop balls all of the time. People here think that these guys play at a high level or suck right away. Most just simply take some time to develop.

    Looks a little different here

    Or here

It just takes many players time to adjust to NFL speed, and they resort to bad or nervous habits. The drop issues will become much less of a factor.

its a little bit of both imo, it's not that he isn't extending for balls, its that DBs are much more faster closing in, and they have much better technique to stay with receivers than what he was used to. I believe he will adjust, but for now he's more of a gadget.

Gimme Demariyus Thomas instead. Corey Davis should make another leap this year and Thomas is a more reliable #2 than that Bishard Matthews would ever be.
