I bet Britt will become better than Percy Harvin and Crabtree.

Everyone is talking about them 2 guys. IMO they are drawing to much attention. The pressure will break them down.

But i think Britt will get a lot of playing time and surprise everyone with his ability. I just think he will make a better NFL player than Harvin and Crabtree. He is a big tough receiver and thats what you need to be in this league. I dont seeing the other 2 living up to the hype they had in College.

I have a feeling if we took Harvin (or any other player), the first post in this thread would read a little differently. The gaze in homer eyes are always fun to watch though :)

If we took Harvin, I have a feeling that this thread would have read differently as well. We would have all been pissed off and completely disturbed by our front office's decisions.

There is no point in gambling on a guy like Harvin... especially when we are only one year removed from the whole Pacman ordeal.

    Well...

What do you mean by better? More stats? More Pro Bowls? More catches? Or your personal opinion (which we already know) of who's better?

And when you say their HYPE, I think you are confusing that with PRODUCTION!!!

However, we have a much better QB in Collins than the 49ers have...same with Minnesota so both could have slow starts to their careers. Additionally, we have a tendency to not play WR's early until they learn all 3 WR positions (X, Z, and slot). Hopefully, the Titans will take a more pro active approach and have him just learn one position and go from there.

Funny, you didn't mention if you thought Nicks will be 'better' considering he went to the Giants who won the SB not long ago and have a 'franchise' type QB.

All he has to do to do better than Harvin is stay healthy and/or out of trouble.
    Or be a true WR.

Crabtree is going to be solid, his work ethic and drive are impeccable. He has no fears and the Raiders passing on him will just make him work with a bigger chip on his shoulder. Crabtree is used to playing in big games against Defenses built to stop him, and still is the only 2-time Belitnikoff winner. I will be happy if Britt sees the field at all in year 1, Crabtree just needs a consistent QB.

Harvin, meanwhile will be scary on the same field with Adrian Peterson........as long as he can stay healthy.

Eli will fall in love with Nicks because of his size and enormous catch radius. Plex v2.0

i wouldn't be surprised if both harvin and crabtree busted. florida and texas tech WRs are known for sucking something fierce. although it wouldn't shock me if britt busted too, since the titans drafted him and all.

What I don't get with the Giants is- They already have Hakeem Nicks on their roster. Mario Manningham. They're EXACTLY the same.

As for Harvin, he's an easy bust call. Easier than Vince Young was. Anyone that would take this guy in round 1-2 should be fired.

Crabtree- As much as I liked the guy on the college level, I doubt he's anything more than a reliable receiver in the NFL. Maybe a possession guy, but nothing more. He's too slow, and disappears in games when his team needs him most.

And please, save me the "Jerry Rice, Michael Irvin" etc examples. 10 years ago the corners were all slow too. Find an impact receiver today that's as slow as those guys.

Ouch, that hurt......but I won't take it personally. Crabtree is very different than every other WR from TTU however, electric with the ball and a monster going after it. He was actually an excellent WR trapped in a great system.

As for Harvin, couldn't agree more, especially since he's not even a WR!! He still has to learn how to run routes and catch balls 15 yds downfield with guys around him, not just swing passes or trick plays out of the Utah/Florida BS offense.
