Hope Named AFC Defensive Player of the Week

    SUMMARY: Chris Hope has been named the NFL's Defensive Player of the Week. In the club’s first Monday Night Football home game since December 13, 2004, Hope registered a career-high two INTs and added four tackles as the Titans defeated the Colts 31-21. Hope’s first interception came in the second quarter on a Peyton Manning pass that was tipped by Vincent Fuller. His second INT of the night in the fourth quarter on a pass intended for Dallas Clark. Hope’s 30-yard interception return led to a game-sealing score on the Titans following offensive play. Tennessee’s defense leads the AFC with 12 interceptions.

    I think this year we might finally get more than two players to the pro bowl.

    Well, maybe not, but we can hope.

    Great honor for a hardworking player! Our defense alone should account for two or more PB players! We believe the future bodes well for Hope, Griffin, Finnegan, KVB, Haynesworth, Harper, Thornton, Bulluck, Brown, Kearse, Tulloch. From this group of mighty warriors, it should be easy to find multiple PBers!!:thumb:

    Man, I have to give props to the whole secondary for Monday night. Hope, Griff, Cort, Harper and Fuller. Harper and Fuller had some big pass break ups that really counted when we needed them. Great Job.

    Yeah no doubt they deserve a lot of praise for their excellent performance considering the front four didn't provide the usual amount of pressure. The only reason the colts really got those early td passes though was because of Tulloch. He was trying too hard to make the big play and got out of position, but he made up for it with that big 4th down tackle.
