I will lose my mind if we hire Caldwell. Much rather gamble on Quinn. Waiting isn't the worst thing.

If we hire Caldwell this team will never be good until both Tommy Smith and Ruston Webster are gone.

But I have faith we aren't THAT stupid. Seriously doubt we get Caldwell.

Ian Rapaport mentioned on TV today that if we don't go Quinn it may be Caldwell since he had a strong follow up interview with us.

Please no.

 

Webster is smarter than that

 

Rapaport is just going off other news. Gruden went to the Redskins. Whisenhunt is rumored to be going to Detroit and Zimmer to Minnesota. So Caldwell is the only other guy we interviewed. Rapaport is just trying to make it appear he has some "inside info" to draw attention to himself.

 

Yeah he was just speculating but it is concerning if we don't somehow land Quinn the only other guy who we've interviewed is Caldwell (assuming Zimmer and Whisenhunt are hired) and if Seattle wins it all we wouldn't make a move until Feb. I still like Quinn and want him here but it almost has an "all in" feel.
