Harold Landry Thread

Just think, if we had drafted Landry in the 1st round instead of Evans, we would have him for his 5th year this year. That would have made things so much easier.

 

What a ****ing terrible decision:

 

Hopefully this means we are really working on a long term deal. Doubt it though. This sucks.

Not shocked. First, because tags are very hard to make cap friendly, and second, I have never felt we were all in on Landry. I believe JR thinks he can replace him cheaper and may even think he already has with Weaver. And before get piled on with Weaver comments, I said I believe JR thinks that not me.

 

Landry was an average player before his contract year. That’s a big red flag. Especially in today’s NFL.

 

On the other hand, he's only 25 and may be breaking out. But he seems like someone that needs to have another good pass rusher opposite of him in order to be really productive.

 

If we don't sign him and he ends up in LAC or SF next to a Bosa he could have a great year.
Or a replacement for Clowney in Cleveland

 

He certainly was not average, he just didn't put gaudy sack numbers yet

 

I think the Falcons will make a very hard push at him.
