We have all been saying we need a power back to split carries with :cj:. Someone who is trying to be an "Expert" on all 32 teams can miss something as subtle as the Titans needing a power back. Green is brought it to make :cj: more productive. The Tians have made it too easy on opposing offenses. We are too easy to prepare for. Adding a power back will open things up for him. And, as you pointed out, having Green on the roster could also push :cj:.

I think we all see this as a good signing. Especially given the fact he can play FB as well. Honestly, the money was not spent badly. I think it just comes as shocking because there is so much turnover.

In the first three rounds we have 4 picks. And about 7 different positions we want to fill. I would love Bell. He may not even make it to the third. We also need a DE, CB, S, WR, OL, LB. Something will get sacrificed :(

    Barnybyrd Starter

Did a little stat work with top RB's that played at least 2 yrs.

player yds tds fumbles fumbles lost

    Peterson 3067 24 5 2
    m Lynch 2794 23 8 4
    a Foster 2648 25 8 5
    r Rice 2507 21 3 2
    C Johnson 2290 10 8 5
    S Jackson 2187 9 2 1
    s Greene 2117 14 5 1
    m Forte 2091 8 4 3
    cj Spiller 1805 10 5 3
    a Bradshaw 1674 15 4 4

He's not an A Peterson but he is far from being trash and ok for a backup.

Saying Greene is a "bad player"? C'mon now bro...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA at the fact this scrub has more TDs than our 14mil "PLAYMAKER"! 170 less yards and 4 less fumbles lost, not a bad guy to have pushing CJ at all.

Shonn Greene does not suck, not even close. Just because a guy is not a #1 RB it doesn't mean he sucks. Some guys can seem to suck in certain schemes or roles but it doesn't mean they're a bad player. Shonn was misfit as a #1 RB on a bad Jets team and despite that he had decent production. As a pure powerback who knows his only job is to go forward and get the tough yards (Shonn already acknoledged this is his role) he will excell with us.

So we overpaid by what like 1-2 mil a year? Do you know how insignificant that is to an NFL team? Its a damn drop in the bucket compared to many of the contracts on our own team let alone around the league. I've never seen people care so much about that little money for a player who has actually produced. No one was saying he sucked when the Jets were in back to back AFC championships behind a great D and Greene's strong running. All of a sudden he sucks. Please.

The logic for him sucking is just non-existing. No one thinks he's elite but there has be a classification between Adrian Peterson and suck. Common sense says his play declined as his entire team's performance declined. Makes more sense than he all of asudden sucks 2 years later.

Greene is not going to be a backup.. It would be ludicrous to pay a backup RB 3.3M per year.. I expect him to get around 5-8 carries a game, hopefully he will be a third down conversion machine.

Well, we all have to love the grade the Rams got for Jared Cook.
