    I really hope they take a second look at the zone blocking scheme. We don’t have those type of linemen. We have power blocking type. I believe it’s a reason why the wildcat went so well when we first put it in.

    After revisiting this thread, it's pretty obvious. Our oline is one of the best groups in the league, our wrs get separation just as good if not better than every group in the league, our oc was so good he got the hc job at green bay, our backs/tes did a phenomenal job helping our oline and mm8 is by far the worst starting qb in the league. If we just cut his ass and pick up anyone, hell keep gabbert on or bring in Bortles and this team is a sb competitor.

    You had me til the ending. Gabbert is literally the worst QB in the NFL.

    Its really phenomenal how every one of Mary's backups takes the title for worst NFL QB each year.

    From Mett to Cassel to Gabbert
    Amazing how bad those 2nd guys have been lol

    Gabbert really wasn't much of a downgrade from Mariota, statistically or in terms of W/L. There are worse backups.

    You're crazy if you really believe 1.) theres no drop off from mary to gabby. And B.) that hes not just absolutely awful

    33 pff grade, 41/41 for qualifying QBs.

    He's got a 1/1 TD/INT ratio like Mary, around 200 yards per game, 2-1 record as a starter. PFF's QB grading system is a joke, unless you believe that Tom Savage was as good as Watson or Hundley was as a good as Aaron Rodgers in 17.

    That final Indy game was bad, but he was a good backup otherwise. If you need a backup to play 3-4 games every year, he's obviously not a good choice. But neither is the starter in that scenario.
