Eagles taking offers for DeMarco Murray

Eric Dickerson had 390 carries in 1983 and and set the single season rushing record in 1984. Had 404 carries in 1986 and had over 1000 yards rushing with over 4 yards a carry for the next three seasons. Not saying murray can even hold Dickerson's jock strap, but your no one has ever done anything after carrying the ball over 390 times a year comment isn't accurate.

1983- carries 390, yards 1808, 4.6 ypc.
1984- carries 379, yards 2105, 5.6 ypc (single season record btw)
1985- carries 292, yards 1234, 4.2 ypc (only played 14 games)
1986- carries 404, yards 1821, 4.5 ypc
1987- carries 283, yards 1288, 4.5 Ypc
1988- carries 388, yards 1659, 4.3 ypc
1989- carries 314, yards 1311, 4.2 ypc

If that's what you consider barely cracking 1000 yards a season after carrying the ball 390 times or more I will take it. Your boy Mark Ingram has never cracked 1000 yards in a season and you consider him a top 10 back.

 

You really think up until 389 hes fine, one more and hes suddenly ****ed? These stats are as useful as "passing yards on second and 15+ losing by 14 or more on a sunday at home".

I just pointed out that your statement " No one with over 390 carries in a year has come back to do anything after, ever" is false. Dickerson had several successful seasons after doing it twice.
