If Ruston wants to keep his job, he better keep that option open to discussion.
During that period the secondary coverage looked completely different. The pressure was still there, for the most part with blitzing.
But the defensive strategy changed. Totally Lebeau and Horton
LOL....just silly. We are bad, but we are young and very poorly coached. I actually saw some things that I liked today, and one of them was Mariota. Jeez, the guy is a rookie and you expect him to be like Tom Brady....give me a break.
No disagreement on the coaching though....hopefully that gets fixed soon. Too bad it was not fixed already, but it is tough to pull the trigger on something like that after one season I guess.
MM was good, 2nd INT was horrible. Needs to use his legs to escape and get up the field, has terrible pocket awareness. He's gonna have more fumbles bc he stands in traffic with the ball loose. The difference he was supposed to bring was escapability and being able to run....he needs to show that.
Whiz needs to stick to a RB, this is beyond committee and just laughable.
Poutasi only gets a block when a TE/RB chips his guy off
Defense: Daquan Jones, nothing. Avery Williamson/Searcy have been a disappointment.
I've never seen a team worse at fielding CBs who have no idea how to find the football on deep balls.
Tough loss but we were competitive and thats more than we could say last year.
Been watching this team for 28 years and I can tell you with 100% certainty, this is not a bad Titans team. This team is finding its way and learning how to win. One thing this team has shown me in the first 3 weeks is they don't quit. They gave themselves a chance to tie the game and it didn't happen due to a terrible play call. Mariota, while he made some mistakes, was lights out on the last drive. The pass to DGB where he stepped up into the pocket was clutch. Haven't seen anything like that since Steve was here. Luck is trash, throwing the ball up and getting lucky on 2 passes doesn't make you good. Our defense is better this year and will continue to get better, they will learn from this. I'm not here to pump sunshine, I'm here to tell you the truth in what I see. This team is better and is getting better each week. The future is bright and this team is going to be a player in the AFC South this year. All that being said, this loss hurts because we were the better team and gave the game away. Ask yourself how many times you could have said that in the last few years.
ain't nobody trying to hear this positive mumbo jumbo right now
2 weeks of misery.
I'm seriously not sure I can handle this **** anymore.
Down 14-0 to potentially go up 31-14? And here we are pissed over getting beat because we blew a big lead in the 4th.
This game is demoralizing. The satisfaction I had seeing the Colts and their fans fail was absolutely refreshing. Yet, they end up partying in Nashville, once again
One day I'll realize that there's more to life than just pee wee Titans football.
Literally fed up.
I do not disagree with this....but Whiz is going to hold the team back IMO. That call at the end of the game (like the calls on the goal line earlier) was something that I had not seen since watching High School football....predictable and stupid.
Also, I agree that we may be around in the AFC South this season, but that is more of a reflection of the division than of us IMO.....AFC South is putrid this season.
Talentwise, we are better than last year, but we still have a long way to go (starting with the inevitable decision to dump Whiz that is going to have to happen at some point).
At any rate, I am not going anywhere....at a minimum this team is much more fun to watch than last season. At least we are not quitting midway through the second quarter this season.
I want to know when its our chance for those crazy miracle plays to come our way. Literally every team we ever face gets some lucky miracle which enables them to win. That "INT" was sooooo lucky. We have never had anything like that happen to us in forever.
