Rumor Colts Planning to **** Can Pagano

We could, and have done worse. I would like a coach that wanted badly to beat the colts twice a year.

Sounds like Irsay is thinking of keeping Grigson and firing Pagano. That's the wrong move IMO. (Which makes me happy)

Pagano can only work with what he has, and Grigson has given him no OL, traded a 1st for T Richardson, and signed old guys like AJ. Then there are rumors that Grigson has even gone as far as telling Pagano who to play on Sundays (forcing him to play T Rich, and some other bad signings) in an effort to make his signings look good.

Also heard rumors that Grigson forced the OC pep Hamilton on pagano as well (then we saw a decline in Lucks play). And that Hamilton answered straight to grigson , not Pagano.

At the same time, Pagano has lead them to multiple winning seasons and playoff births and won playoff games. This year, with no QB they will still finish 8-8.

Its playing with fire when you get rid of a coach that is having success because of 1 bad year (due to injuries no less). The Colts have been good for a long time, so I dont think they fully understand that they could do worse, much much worse, than they have been.

Not many coaches will make the playoffs 3 out 4 years and an AFCC appearance.

With Irsay and Grigson, that teams FO situation may be worse than ours. They could take a good team and run it straight into the ground.

 

Yes to pagano. Talk about the anti-whiz/kelly. Players love to play for him.

This has to be a very scary time to be a colts fan. Luck was horrible this year.. Stupid GM.. Even dumber ownership. Their team has nothing else to build on. Pagano was really one of their few bright spots. He can't help that Luck did not develop into the next Manning, not sure how much input he had on that 1st round trade for Richardson.

They have been the model of consistency. Up until this year, colts had missed the playoffs twice since 2001. One manning season, and the suck for luck campaign. That could easily be changing.

They are destabilizing one of the few stable things in their organization.

Can you blame pagano for a rift between him and management? Grigson and Irsay are total morons!

We'd definitely have to at least consider Pagano. We should interview him, Kelly, Jackson, Gase, Smith & McDaniels.

Pagano would have to bring a good OC for Marcus though

 

Pagano owes everything he's earned as HC to Bruce Arians

 

But dude, our situation is way nicer than Indy. We are younger, we have a defense, we have great defensive staff (lebeau/horton), we have the number one overall draft pick, we have way more cap space than the Colts, and our owner isn't a pill popping drunk.

 

He chose Arians as his assistant. Picking good DCs/OCs is a good quality for a HC to have, right???

Word is that Pag did not pick his current OC. Higher ups picked him.

 

Yeah, sometimes the best thing a coach can do is hire a good staff and let them do their jobs without meddling too much. Jason Garrett & last years Cowboys is a good example of that.
